I know my mom thinks I know everything, but that is far from true 😂. I do know a little bit about this and that. And when I don’t know, I have no problem with asking. I started my blog with no idea what I was doing. Still don’t for the most part. So, when things started happening, I had to seek professional counsel. I was able to get the help I needed from a WordPress genius, Greg Miller. The best part, he is local! I can meet him in person and ply him with unlimited questions and he has the answers. I have been having issues with my YouTube embeds (hence, the Testing blog post a couple weeks ago), and Greg helped a sister out. Now, I am back babies! Check out the new additions to my playlist.
My Love by Quinn.
I don’t like this song just because Quinn. is my cousin. I love this song because it is beautifully written and arranged. It is the RnB from my day with a bridge and song length of 3 plus minutes. Begging and apologizing. Reminiscing and asking for a second chance. I don’t know why people have strayed away from this format of RnB, but I am glad Quinn. is bringing it back. I do have a small beef with him though. Like dude, you out here in these RnB streets and you haven’t hooked your beautiful little cousin up with anyone? What the hell!?!? And he knows Christian Keys! Smh 😆
Own Valentine by Amerie Skyy
I have made a declaration to live more. To accept invitations when invited. To have experiences. That is what life is about, right? My Golden Girls invited me to Live Music/Karaoke Night at Tolhouse and I am so glad I went. One of the live performers was Amerie Skyy and she sang her original song, Own Valentine. I liked it so much I added it to my playlist. And now I am sharing this song of self-love with you. I look forward to more music from Amerie Skyy.
Lost Here by Leon Grey
I found Leon Grey on Instagram years ago. I am not sure if it was from some music he made or because he was hot. Either way, I am happy about it. I am not a big social media person because they are always showing you shit you don’t even follow, and barely show people and things that you do. Well, I guess Instagram was being nice when I was scrolling one day and let me know Leon had a new song out. Of course, I had to see what it was about. No complaints. Okay, just one. Make the damn song longer!
Someday, Somewhere by Jungle
Jungle is back on the Playlist! Their songs are just funky, catchy, and fun. Thank you to the lady at the car wash blasting them as she vacuumed out her car. I could not resist asking her and I am glad I did. I still have not found the song that made me ask her who she was listening to, but I have found so many great songs from Jungle to keep me happy. Someday, Somewhere is the newest song and the video features Kaycee Rice, a well-known dancer and choreographer.
Someday by Evenson
What is up with the word someday in these songs? I generally know what someday means, but I felt the need to Google it to get a better understanding. Someday, at an unknown, unspecified, or indefinite time in the future. Indefinite? I need him to figure it out sooner than someday. I need for me to figure it sooner than someday. Sheesh. I officially don’t like this word anymore. I do like this song though. Lol. His delivery matches the word and gets the point across.
I have been spending way more time listening to audiobooks than music. I am currently sitting at 145 books for 2026. I think I am doing too much. All the books are starting to run together and there are only a few stand outs. For the month of August, I am going to focus more on the music. I need to find more music for my Playlist. I hope you enjoy these new songs. I like finding and introducing people to artist that are not so well-known. If you cut the radio on all you hear is the same old artist and the same old songs. There are so many talented people out there making great music to listen to. I will not limit myself or you. I got you! Be well and whole. Much Love 🧡 💚
