Cosmic Love by Jade Novah
I have to thank Terrell Grice once again for introducing me to this artist. Never heard of her before seeing her on his show. Now, I have multiple Jade Novah songs on my playlist. Her voice is really beautiful. She has expanded her career and is now acting. I haven’t watched anything that she has been in lately. I previously watched a musical by Todrick Hall called Forbidden that she starred in. It was a little weird, but I liked the song Play that she and Todrick sang.
Cab Ride by Tweet
This song is kinda funny. She was backseat driving the whole way. Tweet even pointed out the cab driver needing air in his tire. She was not playing about getting to her sex appointment. Not exactly sure I agree with her reason for going, but not my business. Lol.
Imagination by Avant
This is my favorite song on the album, Director. I was still warring with myself because there are some other songs that may be a better fit. I can always use them on future playlists. My interpretation of this song is him describing a sex dream. Wanting to complete before waking up. Then the alarm going off, perfection! Ending with a guitar solo. I don’t know who he worked with on this album, but he should do it again and again. These songs will never go out of style.
Use Me by Miguel
This song is interesting to me. Usually sex songs are men telling women what they are going to do to them. This song puts him in a place of vulnerability, almost submissiveness. He says, “Danger in your eyes, baby. You can devour me. Defile me, yeah.” What does that even mean? I hope it ain’t nothing too nasty 😂. While looking for the Youtube video to include in this post, I found a live version of this song. He started the song off with lyrics from The Zombies’ Time of the Season. I guess the melody of that song inspired this song. Specifically, the part where the song says, “What’s your name? Who’s your daddy? Is he rich like me?” Going back and listening to that song, the melody is similar. It is amazing how artist get their inspiration.
I don’t know how people/content creators do it. You have to look for source material, write about, edit, and upload. On a constant basis, along with all your other life responsibilities. I am failing at it! I think I am doing okay where the life responsibilities are concerned, but I stay lacking on the content. I can do this! I can do this! I will do this!
